Cielo Energy (pronounced See-el-oh from the Spanish word for sky) exists to provide clear commercially focused management consultancy advice and support to allow our clients to maximise the opportunities and navigate the complexities of the electricity markets.

Our Managing Director

Stuart Lloyd-Evans, our Managing Director, has spent over 25 years in the front line of the energy markets. Working across generation, trading and supply, he has unrivalled experience and industry knowledge.

Entering the UK market as it began to deregulate, and spending several years in Europe, Stuart has spent time working as a trader for both assets backed and proprietary businesses, negotiating and structuring large energy transactions, managing internal risk management and trading functions and developing innovative customer products for both generators and suppliers.

Using his commercial insight and understanding of what matters in the energy markets, he drives Cielo Energy to cut through the complexity and provide clearly actionable, value adding insights and approaches to market that work for your business.

A previous long-standing colleague said he had the kind of insight that nobody else can provide in getting to the nub of the issue and simplifying complex issues – something that can benefit your business. 

Principal Consultant

Peter Haigh is an experienced and successful Chief Executive, Managing Director and Non-Executive/Advisor of utilities and regulated businesses, brings a wealth of strategic and operational experience. 

After a decade in top roles at Powergen and E.ON, Peter subsequently led an important element of the UK’s electricity infrastructure (its payment settlement business, Elexon) and successfully started a values-led, award-winning energy retail business (Bristol Energy Ltd).

Peter has recently advised a private equity business on an investment opportunity, worked with the board of an energy retail business and sits on the CEG for Wales and West Utilities, scrutinizing their RIIO2 business plans.
